Shopping in the Triangle

There is plenty of shopping available in the Triangle area for any interest. The major malls are Crabtree Valley Mall, Cary Towne Center, South Square Mall, Northgate Mall, North Hills Mall, and Crossroads Shopping Center. These will have the major chain retail stores and some specialty shops.

If you are the type who likes more of a specialty shop atmosphere, there are plenty of options. There are places like Brightleaf Square, Cameron Village, and plenty of specialty shops throughout the Triangle. Many are in smaller strip malls or in the downtown districts of both the larger cities and smaller towns.

You might have heard that North Carolina is a great place to buy furniture. You heard right! Keep in mind that 5 people will give you 5 different opinions of what town and what store is best, but rest assured if you do your homework, you can definitely buy some wonderful furniture in North Carolina. The Triangle has franchises such as Rhodes Furniture and Rooms to Go as well as private stores and antique furniture dealers.

The Triangle area is very excited about sports, so if you are shopping for sports gear – equipment or clothing with team logos – you will not have to travel far. Several large sporting goods stores, along with the college shops on campus or near colleges/universities, will have almost anything you need.

And of course, we have tons of computers! So, if you’re looking for a new computer, software, or a place to hang out and meet other people into computers as much as you are – not to worry, we’ve got you covered! Again, we have the chain stores such as Best Buy, Circuit City, CompUSA, a new Gateway Computer Store, and many smaller companies who will build you a custom system.
